Focus on the profession

Focus on the job of Laurent & Bruno, 18 years of service for the first and 26 years for the second.

  • What are the main tasks/activities for which you are responsible?

We welcome the drivers and / or deliverers, load and unload the trucks and containers.

Our main task is the preparation and dispatch of orders throughout Europe and the world.

We also take care of stock management.

We receive orders from suppliers and subsidiaries.

  • What are the expected skills (general and specific) for this profession?

The job requires a lot of rigour and speed, but also a very good physical condition.

You need to have a forklift driver’s licence (CACES) to be able to drive forklifts.

  • Who is your day-to-day working partner (which departments, which professions, external service providers)?

We work with various carriers; in close cooperation with the logistics assistant, the sales department and with the green light from the quality department.

Focus on the job of Flavien, 23 years of service with SICCOM.

  • What are the main tasks/activities for which you are responsible?

I work closely with the Design Office in the design of new products. I am in charge of validating new products before industrialisation as well as the metrology (editor’s note: all the methods and techniques for carrying out measurements, i.e. dimensions, sizes and other volumes) of the company’s measuring instruments.

  • What are the expected skills (general and specific) for this profession?

The job of a laboratory technician requires a solid knowledge of physical measurement.

The job also requires a great deal of rigour.

  • Who do you work with on a daily basis (which departments, which professions, external service providers)?

The two departments I work with the most are the Design Office and Quality.
